Have your say on the Motability service

Inclusion Scotland is running a new survey about the Motability service. We want to hear directly from disabled people about what Motability means to you and how recent or upcoming changes to the service may affect your life.

Motability plays an important role in supporting disabled people’s independence. For many people, it helps remove barriers to work, education, healthcare, and everyday activities. When changes are made to a service like this, it is essential that disabled people’s experiences and views are heard.

Why we are asking for your views

There have been some changes to the Motability service, with more expected later this year. We want to understand:

  • How disabled people currently experience the Motability service
  • What the service means to disabled people and their independence
  • How changes to the service may affect disabled people now and in the future

Your responses will help us build evidence about the importance of Motability and highlight where changes may create new barriers. This will support our policy and influencing work and help ensure disabled people’s voices are central to decision-making.

Who can take part

The survey is for disabled people who use, have used, or may be affected by the Motability service.

We also encourage disabled people’s organisations, advocacy groups, unpaid carers, and allies to share the survey with people in their networks.
