Our Evidence to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry

We’re proud to have raised crucial evidence for Scotland’s participation in the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, evidence now spotlighted in a recent Disability News Service article.

The article highlights how Disabled People’s Organisations, including Disability Rights UK, Disability Action Northern Ireland, Disability Wales, and Inclusion Scotland, are representing disabled people in what’s now Module Six of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry. Together, we argued that the UK’s longstanding decisions on the structure of the social care system made the pandemic a tragedy of “terrible inevitability” for disabled people, driven by systemic invisibility, inadequate planning, and data failings.
