Changes to Voter Registration
Changes to voter registration and identification mean it is more important than ever to understand the ways that you are able to participate in the political process across Scotland, specifically the UK Parliamentary Elections.
These recent changes have now meant that a form of identification is now required, something which can often prove to be a barrier for Disabled People. At Inclusion Scotland, we want to ensure that we raise awareness of these issues, as well as highlighting ways in which Disabled People are able to challenge and overcome these barriers.
Below are two documents: the first outlines the changes to voter identification, and the second is an Easy Read Voter ID Guide.
Whilst Inclusion Scotland are not able to provide specific advice regarding acquiring Voter ID’s, we would like to encourage you to get in touch with https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voting-and-elections/voter-id if you have any questions or concerns.
