No Clear Path: Disabled People and the barriers to Fair Work
UK welfare reforms risk harming disabled people by increasing poverty, worsening health and reducing independence. Our new report, based on lived experience, shows that cuts and underfunded support do not remove barriers to work – they create them.
Disabled people are clear: the real barriers to fair work are discrimination, inaccessible workplaces, lack of flexibility and delayed or inadequate support. Welfare reform must be co-designed with disabled people and grounded in dignity, fairness and respect.
