Accessing Work

Applying for jobs, going for interviews, starting work, and advice on adjustments along the way

This section of the site should give you all you need to navigate the complicated and confusing world of applying for work and figuring out reasonable adjustments. The guidance here has been developed from years of supporting people apply for work and start, sitting on interview panels and also our own lived experience.

Inclusion Scotland believes that recruitment should be accessible to disabled people, and that disabled people should know their rights when it comes to potential adjustments in the process. We also believe that reasonable adjustments and Access to Work Support are crucial for helping disabled people sustain employment.

This page is under construction! While we work on it, please download our Employability Guide below

Accessing Work Guidebook PDF

This guidebook covers the important things you need to know when applying for work and going for interviews. Unlike a lot of employment advice available, it specifically addresses the need for adjustments and support. We hope you find it useful and welcome any feedback.
