Hi, I’m Maxine. I am excited to have joined the team at Inclusion Scotland in July 2026 and I am the Learning and Community Development Coordinator. As part of the team and in collaboration with disabled people, Disabled People’s Organisations (DPO) networks and other partners my role is to help promote and facilitate connections and sharing of learning to expand disabled people’s and DPOs influence.  

I am passionate about inclusion and involvement. Over the past 35 years my career journey to date in health and social care, learning and community engagement and development has included work in front line operational and strategic leadership roles in rural and urban settings in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

I hold an SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care, an MSc in Advancing Healthcare Practice and graduated with a Doctorate of Education (EdD) from University of Glasgow in 2023.

I love spending time with family and friends and enjoy gardening, drawing and painting.
