Hi everyone, this is my first blog as part of the internship programme. I’m happy to say that everybody I’ve met so far has really been fantastic and have done everything in their power to make things possible. To say that I’m nervous about the process would be an understatement but I’m thoroughly looking forward to all the experiences on offer.
A little bit about me.
My name is John Thoumire, I’m 34 and most of my previous experience comes from media based jobs. I also have Chronic Renal Failure and severe Haemophilia. Both come with a fantastic variety of party tricks. The latter I’ve had since birth and accept for what it is. The renal failure caught up to me in my late teens and has been fly in my employed life ever since. I finally had to give up work a few years ago and have missed it sorely since.
Having been given this opportunity by Inclusion Scotland and James Dornan MSP, I am excited and proud to be a part of this team. I hope to meet you all at some point in the near future but until then I’ll continue to write this blog… and I’ll try to keep my ramblings as to the point as possible.
Till next time,
