Inclusion Scotland is inviting disabled people across Scotland to take part in our Council Election Priorities Survey.
Local councils make decisions about many of the services that affect our daily lives, from housing and transport to social care support, education, leisure facilities and public spaces. With Scottish local council elections taking place in 2027, we want to make sure disabled people’s priorities are heard loud and clear.
The survey will help us create our Manifesto for Inclusion, which will set out the changes disabled people want to see from local councils across Scotland. We will share this manifesto with council candidates ahead of the elections and use it to influence local decision-making.
We cannot do this without your input.
Whether you are passionate about accessible transport, housing, social care support, education, employment, community facilities, or something else entirely, we want to hear what matters most to you.
Your responses will help us:
– Identify the issues disabled people want councils to prioritise
– Develop our Manifesto for Inclusion for the 2027 local elections
– Give disabled people a tool to question local election candidates
– Make the case for change based on disabled people’s lived experience
