Support our work

Every contribution helps build a more inclusive Scotland

Supporting sustainable change

We are committed to building a strong, sustainable organisation that can continue delivering impact for disabled people now and in the future. Support from trusts, foundations and partners helps us develop new approaches, strengthen our capacity and build innovative income streams that support long-term change.

This type of support allows us to invest in organisational resilience, expand our reach and develop new ways of working alongside disabled people and Disabled People’s Organisations across Scotland. It supports not only individual projects, but the systems and leadership needed to drive lasting progress.

Partnering with employers and organisations

Many employers and organisations want to build inclusive workplaces but are unsure where to begin. Inclusion Scotland supports organisations to attract, recruit and retain disabled talent by providing practical guidance, lived experience insight and access to a strong national network of disabled people and DPOs.

Through partnerships, internship opportunities and employer engagement programmes, we help organisations remove barriers to employment and create meaningful opportunities for disabled people. These partnerships also help employers build strong, inclusive workforces while contributing to real social change.

Training and accessibility support

We make change by centering disabled people’s lived experience and turning it into action. Our staff, board and members bring direct insight into the barriers disabled people face, and we work collectively to dismantle those barriers at their root. We focus on transforming systems and structures rather than treating exclusion as an individual problem. We collaborate widely, working with disabled people’s organisations, government, employers, public bodies, and third-sector partners, to embed inclusive approaches that create lasting, systemic change across Scotland.

Sharing knowledge and lived experience

Inclusion Scotland plays a unique role in connecting organisations with disabled people’s lived experience to shape better services, policies and products. We work with partners to support co-design, consultation, user testing and service development that reflects real experiences and avoids barriers from the outset.

We also contribute to events, conferences and public discussions, bringing authentic voices, insight and expertise on disability inclusion, leadership and policy development. These opportunities help raise awareness, challenge perceptions and inspire organisations to take meaningful action.

How we make change

Some supporters choose to leave a gift to Inclusion Scotland in their Will. Legacy giving is a powerful way to create long-term impact and help future generations of disabled people live in a more equal and inclusive society.

For many people, this reflects a personal connection to disability rights or lived experience within their family or community. Leaving a gift in a Will can also provide financial benefits, such as helping to reduce inheritance tax, while creating a lasting contribution to social change.

Every contribution matters

There are many ways to support Inclusion Scotland, from donations and partnerships to training, collaboration and legacy giving. However you choose to support us, you are helping build a Scotland where disabled people are fully included as equal citizens and leaders in society.
