This is an opportunity for a disabled person to work with Liam McArthur, MSP for Orkney Islands in the Scottish Parliament as a Parliamentary Researcher.
Accountable to: Liam McArthur MSP (employer) or, in their absence, a member of their office team
Contract: 35 hours per week for 12 weeks or part-time over a longer period
Location: Based at the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh
Closing Date: Monday 16th October 2017 at 10am
This intern will be based at the Scottish Parliament with a schedule agreed between the intern and the host. In addition to the general duties of the Parliamentary Research Intern, the intern will carry out a piece of research as decided based their skills and interests and the needs of the MSP. This internship opportunity will give the successful applicant an insight into the work of the Scottish Parliament and the role of parliamentary researchers. The role may include a combination of the duties listed in the below job description alongside this focused piece of research.
