Access to employment for disabled peopleWe Can Work is Inclusion Scotland’s project which aims to make work more accessible for disabled people. Many disabled people want to work but the inflexibility of the workplace and difficulty accessing support can be a barrier to finding suitable employment.
All to often disabled people find themselves unemployed, or underemployed. Underemployed means that someone is in work which does not suit their skills, education or desired working pattern. Inclusion Scotland delivers an internship programme to help address this imbalance and teach employers the value of making work more accessible.
