On Friday, members of Inclusion Scotland attended the Scottish Parliament to learn more about engaging with its work. These sessions will help us make sure that disabled people’s views and experiences are heard in the Parliament in a variety of ways including cross party groups, committees, petitions and parliamentary questions. Firstly, we had a tour of the building, then we discussed the role of parliament, who represents us and what we already knew about getting involved. When we meet again in February we will find out how to get involved, and hear from members of staff from different areas. This is a really exciting partnership with the Outreach Team and we hope to continue working with them throughout the year and across Scotland, with sessions planned in the Highlands in springtime.
